The architect's responsibilities include developing and presenting design proposals, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, construction documents, and managing project teams.
This position will focus on New Construction, Acquisition / Rehabilitation, and Adaptive Reuse.
You should be able to take ownership of your project, be it the design and construction of a new building, an extension, alterations or a restoration project, and deliver on the client's requirements.
Must be able to visualize space in three dimensions, have a good understanding of construction technologies, and be an effective project manager, have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate superior technical design skills and be able to create designs that are functional, creative, and sustainable.
Essential Functions Lead and develop projects from early concept through design development.
Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Design and document commercial and industrial building projects.
Coordinate preliminary architectural studies for major new structures and alterations to existing structures and site development.
Organize and manage permit documents.
Work with teams across business lines, in remote locations, and coordinate with subcontractors.
Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
Modify existing design, plans, and elevations as needed.
Developing and presenting project proposals.
Preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Conducting research and compiling reports on feasibility and environmental impact.
Complying with safety standards and local planning regulations.
Assist development team in creating project budgets and timelines.
Managing project teams and collaborating with other construction professionals.
Work with development team to create a new construction building standard design concept Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to visualize space in three dimensions, have a good understanding of construction technologies, and be an effective project manager.

Required Education and Experience NCARB Certified Degree in architecture or a related field.
Previous experience as an Architect required.
Previous experience in Multifamily architecture.
Previous experience in New Construction, Acquisition / Rehabilitation, and Adaptive Reuse preferred.
Excellent technical drawing skills.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, etc.
Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
Strong creative and visualization skills.
